I decided to give myself a Christmas present this year and set up a blog and website. So after several days trying to figure this out I am finally typing my first blog, and it is on the last day of a very good year for me. I will always look back on 2012 as a year of growth and rediscovering who I am. As a stay at home mom, I often times got lost in the hustle and bustle of everyone’s schedule and the mounds of laundry and dirty dishes. But something changed for me this year. I picked up a camera and I found my voice again. I am very new at all of this, and I have loved learning and stepping out of my comfort zone to grow in this art that I love. I have met some fantastic like-minded people who have inspired, encouraged and pushed me to just be me and make things happen as well as think and see in a new “light”. I am looking forward to learning even more this coming year.
I have picked out my favorite 15 images that I took this year. I know, I know, the title says “Top 12 of 2012” and it should be 12. However, being only 8 months old in this art, I, of course, have some deep emotional attachments to 3 of these images that I had to include them. It may not be apparent to you why I chose these but to me it is kind of like my medal I get after I complete a challenging marathon… So, just roll with me on this. 12=15 today…. I am Newbie here so any suggestions and tips on post processing, composition, website set up, etc. will be most appreciated! Hope you enjoy. Happy New Year!
